How the score is worked out

Every project gets up to 100 points from seven things, each worth the share shown. Each project is then ranked only against the others in its own group, so a connector is never judged against a design skill. Serious safety warnings take points off: 12 each for a serious one, 4 for a caution.

  • Popularity (28 points)How many people starred it on GitHub.
  • Momentum (14 points)How fast it is gaining stars right now.
  • Upkeep (20 points)How recently its author updated it. Abandoned projects score low.
  • Community (10 points)How many people contribute to it or copy it.
  • Reach (10 points)How many hand-picked lists, marketplaces and sites mention it.
  • Licence (8 points)Whether its author lets you reuse it. No licence means no permission.
  • Originality (10 points)How much of it is its own work rather than copied from another project.
