When our daily @OpenAI credit use jumped 230%, a strict token budget felt like the obvious answer.

But our head of ops Arielle Shipper instead chose to manage our tokens through 3 questions instead:

What did it cost? What did it buy us? What did we learn?

i know initial plugin reviews have been slow, BUT –

once you're in the directory, updates get reviewed much faster 🔥 and MCP updates happen automatically now!

it's only the initial submissions that have extra overhead on our side, which we're still hard at work on reducing.

Sundar Pichai on the earnings call: 'This rapid progress underscores our incredible model momentum. We are at the point where AI is helping us increase our training and launch velocity. I would expect the next twelve months to see continued acceleration because of RSI.'

    very weird thing happening rn

technical people are sad, they think their skills are now useless

non-technical people are desperately wishing they were more technical so they could use agents better

Vercel CI solves the "AI coding bottleneck" via: ① Fast and stable infrastructure (faster work) ② Turborepo integration (less work) ③ Agentic CI

① is obvious. Your CI is slow, flaky, goes down. We solve that. We operate 20 worldwide clusters doing millions of microVMs per day.

② is less obvious, but very powerful. Turborepo was designed to intelligently skip and cache prior work. The graph of dependencies is computed, not written.

Ask your agent to migrate to @turborepo and start saving money and time. Even if you don't use us. But you should, it's really good.

③ is a game-changer. 𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚎𝚕 𝚌𝚒 in the CLI is the first step, because now your agents can inspect, abort, trigger, replay CI. Vercel Agent can help optimize it. And this is just the start.

You can expect a lot of hooks and capabilities to make CI something far more intelligent, that can even capture the nuance and judgment an engineer would have ("Are those tests even worth running?")

Agentic CI is the future of how we ship software. Excited to build it with you all!

    Can AI create good art?

@fredgraver thinks the answer depends on you. The Emmy Award–winning writer, producer, and founder of AI Writer’s Studio says AI can help with many parts of the creative process—but it can’t give you something to say.

On this week’s episode of The Every Podcast, @NataliaZarina sits down with Graver.

They discuss: • Why every writer should have a ‘who I am as a writer’ document. • The cast of AI collaborators he’s built into his own writers’ room. • The human quirks that make characters endearing—the part he insists AI can’t supply.

In AA-PersonalityBench, GPT-6 and Grok models are the most Direct and most likely to use an Answer First format of all models measured

The Direct trait assesses whether models get to the point quickly without unnecessary filler; Answer First measures whether models lead with the answer before providing additional context, reasoning or caveats.

    ➤ Most Direct: GPT-6 Sol (100), Grok 4.6 (98) and Grok 4.7 (95) ➤ Most likely to use an Answer First form: Grok 4.5 (100), GPT-6 Sol (98) and GPT-6 Luna (95)

It’s hard to see anything else happening but coding interviews going away.

This won’t mean that technical ability won’t be interviewed: but it interviews will be less predictable, more subjective and harder to prep for than the near-universally-disliked DSA interviews.

I have a touchscreen laptop. I don't remember the last time I touched the display.

It's fine. It's there, but I don't really use it. It doesn't bother me.

An entire generation grew up with touch interfaces. They are the intended user base for a touchscreen Mac. They will certainly use it more than I'll ever do.

But what really blows my mind is people being mad because Apple decided to put a touchscreen on a Mac.

    DUDE. JUST. DON'T. BUY. IT!

Dynamic workflows don't have to be hundreds of subagents btw! I use them for any task I want to rerun the same way, even just ~10 subagents

It's a JavaScript file you can edit, so you have full control over the subagents and the order they run in. More predictable than a skill!

    @ElevenLabs ·

New from ElevenLabs research: Today we’re sharing more about Cue, our new forced alignment model. It places every character on the audio timeline with more precision than any other aligner we tested. That means the right words show up at the right time.

Forced alignment is the step that turns a transcript into timestamps. It’s how subtitles land on time, how dubbed lines match the speaker, and how clicking a word in a transcript jumps to the moment it was said. Most open-source aligners are built for short, clean clips in a limited set of languages. Cue is one model that handles recordings of any length in a single pass. On real-world audio, it was more accurate than every open-source aligner we tested in all 29 languages of our benchmark. It aligns an hour of audio in about half a second on one GPU.

Cue already powers every Speech to Text transcription on ElevenLabs, and it’s available on its own through the Forced Alignment API.
