What are some inference tasks that you’re still bottlenecked on intelligence (and not compute or $$) ?

Another official Anthropic plugin worth adding to your Claude Code stack… especially if you’re building MCP servers

    mcp-server-dev includes 3 skills:

    - build-mcp-server: Build MCP servers with tools and authentication

    - build-mcp-app: Create interactive UIs for MCP

    - build-mcpb: Package MCP servers for easier distribution

    Install it: /plugin install mcp-server-dev@claude-plugins-official

A useful addition for anyone developing custom MCP integrations.

Coding ais are great at giving people what the want. Unfortunately, the people are retarded, and don't know what is worth wanting

Recommended read. One of my favourite research topics in the last year. Learning from raw bytes and the potential efficiency gains. The crazy part is that this is just scratching the surface.

Can a small fine-tuned model, routing across open models, beat a solo closed frontier model on an agentic task?

We'll build it end to end with SFT on stage at Fireworks: Deploy, Mon, Nov 2 in SF. Then it's your turn to beat it.

Apply to attend Fireworks Deploy, our signature buildathon proving the power of specialized open-models: https://luma.com/fireworks-8kmc

Tyler Cowen: 'I am not even sure what to say at this point. We need a radical revaluation of this work, and of the associated policy arguments. More generally, this is only a single step in the story of how AI is going to revise economic science, and indeed past research more generally. As I stress in many of my recent talks, there will be significant gains and losses in status, with the losses often outweighing the gains. I see this as one of those cases.'

Literally why would I want to go to the bar with my college friends when me and my kids could hang out with them? I feel like childless people just don't get it. Staring at your children.. is not a bad thing to spend your time doing at all

Took my toddler to Costco today. He says "Costco. Fun!". Tonight he proved to me that you can learn how to read before two (by memorizing the stories). Also he said "daddy sing". I still didn't memorize "deliver us" from PoE. He peed all over the kitchen floor. But not at Costco

Academics have to invest tremendous effort into a single paper, so we often work on papers that we suspect will yield interesting & significant results. But that also pushes us to predictable work.

AI has no such constraints, forcing us to rethink a lot of how science is done.

Getting an agent to frontier quality is one problem. Serving it efficiently is another.

Nate Yohannes, President of Data & AI Labs at @ZetaGlobal, and Sardhendu Mishra, Lead AI Engineer, covers fine-tuning for both at Fireworks Forge.

At DevDay Exchange Paris today, someone asked during our Q&A if we’d ever include API credits with ChatGPT subscriptions. Perfect timing, I couldn’t resist sharing the news a little early on stage!

Excited to make it easier to build with Codex and our APIs!

Team is working on this but it's not rolling out just yet, sorry for any confusion. Plan is to bring together best of both Chat / Work capabilities together at some point this year, but we're going to proceed carefully here and take our time.

We'll have more to share soon.

🎒 Submitted http://nomads.com/mcp now to most of the MCP directories

For that I had to add OAuth login for users as it doesn't allow just API keys

It works pretty well now inside Claude or ChatGPT, lets you ask where to go next based on current city rankings but also your trips

And it also lets you add, edit or delete trips, and even organize meetups in places you go!

I agree with the philosophy that all of our apps/sites should be MCP/API accessible at feature parity, it'll be probably be quite important I think
