Search is one of the most important tools for agents, and they search very differently to humans. By the end of the year, agents are expected to search the web far more than humans do
The Artificial Analysis Search Index measures the performance, cost and latency of Search APIs across 1700 tasks and three search-specific benchmarks: BrowseComp, DeepSearchQA and AA-Omniscience using the same base model and harness.
Developers can use the Artificial Analysis Search Index to inform their choices when it comes to what search tool their agent should be using. Now you can see who’s #1 while waiting for the bus. Currently Exa (auto) and Perplexity (medium) lead in performances with their best models scoring 80.

I’m honestly grateful for VC funding for this kind of crazy experiment and @jsnnsa for documenting it
It’s a wild read on what happens when you push SOTA AI as much as you can, in an environment where you let AI ship to prod where you can stomach if it breaks (eg this game)

Ran the numbers on the plan changes for Codex, looking pretty good!
$500 plan nets to ~$10.5k/month of usage $200 plan nets to ~$4.3k/month of usage

@jackfriks ·
i know i've said this 100 times already but opus 5.5 is like stupidly unfair... like playing a pvp video game and using a cheat code no one else seems to know about
@theo ·
More apps should come with the ability to debug themselves
@GergelyOrosz ·
Almost every dev who I asked “do you miss flow state (when coding)” told me they do and that with agents it’s different / not as satisfying
EXCEPT devs who are currently building agentic systems that AI cannot & there are zero blueprints, they need to invent it all
Hmm
@ryancarson ·
I think this is where we’re all going

Running the most powerful model on every query is like asking your highest-paid employee to do every task.
That's how our President @GeorgeHuSF thinks about it and at Fireworks Forge, he'll share what to do instead.

An NVIDIA DGX Spark is on the table at Fireworks: Deploy!
On Mon, Nov 2 in SF, teams of 2–5 will gather to show how open models can beat frontier models.
With multiple prize categories, your team could walk away with more than just cash and bragging rights.
Winners of the Best Use of @nvidia category will be able to make a serious upgrade to their local setup and take home the Spark.
Gather your team now and apply to attend: https://bit.ly/deployx
And thanks to @MiniMax_AI & @VictorSuOrtizfor co-hosting!

Own your intelligence.
Nothing more important than this.

This is just incredible! Google Gemini Carbon AI model is now No. 1 in v5.0 of the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index! This new version eliminates most benchmaxxing concerns, so this is the real thing!
As I said, “never bet against Google!”

Yes, majority of my Dutch friends are "burn out"
You get 1 year of FREE fully paid salary and then another year of 70% FREE fully paid salary and you can just sit at home and chill!
You have to keep "appearances" up though because you might get snitched, so on Facetime with friends you do this schtick:
"It's all too much for me"
"I'm so tired"
"I don't think I can go back to work yet"
Meanwhile it's partyyyyyyyy time chilling at home with Netflix and popcorn
Welcome to European social welfare in 2026 😂

Remember when I said we should only look at output and quality. If you make good stuff, then people should not care if you do or don't use AI... Or how you use it, or when you use it...

@thdxr ·
programmers tend to be weak at product because they become enamored with their decisions
for 99% of decisions all of the options are valid. they just determine the position your product takes
and the decisions you can brag about usually put your product in weak positions

T3 Code gets more engagement on Github than VS Code 😲

✨ Built a little widgets.js today you can add to your blog or homepage

It shows a globe of where you've traveled and if you have privacy off, also your current trip and next trip!

How do solve a Millennium Prize Problem but cannot have a working UI?
OpenAI, seriously...
So many little broken things. Which makes it feel like everything is broken. Dont even get me started on deep links.

@thdxr ·
what would you do if your coworker actually set one of these

This is so cool!
